Why I run several startups at the same time

"Focus on one thing." I have heard that advice many times. Yet today I run two companies in parallel, and I do not see it as a contradiction but as a deliberate choice.

Why several at all?

The companies share infrastructure, mindset, and a team used to moving fast. What works in one often transfers to the other. That transferability is the real leverage.

What it requires

• Clear ownership. It does not work without strong people who decide on their own.
• Brutal prioritisation. Most days have exactly one thing that matters.
• A clean mental split. Context switches cost energy; fixed time blocks help.

Focus, to me, does not mean doing only one thing. It means always knowing which thing matters most right now.
